Cibiyar Nazarin Ciwon Kankara ta Duniya (IARC), wani ɓangare na Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya (WHO), ta fito ne da wata rahoto game da ciwon daji da ke haifar da nama, yana nuna cewa irin wannan nama zai iya haifar da ciwon daji. Sun kuma bayyana cewa jan nama a general "mai yiwuwa" yana haifar da ciwon daji irin su ciwon, pancreatic, da kuma ciwon daji.
